25 Years Towing in Queens

We grew up on these streets. We know where you are.

We've been towing in Queens for 25 years. Our operators were born and raised here — we know the shortcuts off the BQE, which blocks in Astoria are impossible to park a flatbed on, which side of Jamaica Ave floods when it rains, and which exits on the Van Wyck fill up at rush hour. When you call, you're not talking to a call center two states over — you're talking to someone who probably grew up five blocks from where you broke down.

25 years on the road

A quarter century of Queens tows — every car, every street, every kind of weird situation you can imagine.

Born and raised in Queens

Our operators are from here. We don't need GPS to find Flushing or Forest Hills.

We answer the phone

Real person, first ring. No bots, no voicemail maze, no "your call is important to us."

Text us your location and what you need — flat quote back in under a minute.

Straight Pricing — No Games

Three pricing tiers. You'll know the number before we leave the yard.

We keep it simple. You tell us what you need, we quote the rate on the phone, and that's what you pay when the truck gets there. No hook-up fees hidden in the fine print, no mileage surprises. Heavy stuff, long-distance, and out-of-state runs get their own quote — see the full pricing page.

How Our Queens Tow Process Works

From stuck on the road to your car delivered — three honest steps.

Most tow companies make this part of the day worse than it needs to be. Long holds. Vague quotes. A truck that never shows. We built our process around the opposite — text us, get a real price, get a real truck. Here's exactly how it goes when you reach out, whether it's a flatbed for your Tesla, a heavy-duty for your box truck, or a simple jump start at 3am.

  1. 01
    Step One

Text us where you are and what happened.

Text (347) 437-0185 with three things: your location (drop a pin if you can), what you drive (year / make / model), and what went wrong. That's it. No forms, no holds, no "please press 1." The person reading your text is the same person sending the truck.

Broken down on the BQE? Tell us the exit. Dead battery in a parking lot? Tell us the address. Flat on the Grand Central? Mile marker if you have it, the nearest exit if you don't. The more we know, the faster the right truck starts rolling.

  2. 02
    Step Two

We quote a flat price — and a truck is already moving.

We text back a flat price within a minute. No "estimated range," no "hook-up fee not included" — one number, the one you'll actually pay. At the same time, our closest available truck is already rolling to you.

We pick the right truck for the job before we leave the yard. Flatbed for Teslas, EVs, AWD, or lowered cars — no exceptions. Wheel-lift for standard local tows. Heavy-duty for anything over 10,000 lbs. Right truck, right job, no surprises on scene.

  3. 03
    Step Three

    Proper rigging, damage-free load, delivered.

Our operator pulls up, confirms the quote you were texted, and loads your car the right way — soft-tie straps on anything delicate, proper winching angles, nothing chained to the frame or bumper. Five minutes on scene, not thirty.

Your car gets dropped exactly where you want it — your mechanic, your driveway, a dealer, a body shop. Pay the quoted price. Done. No "oh it ended up being further than we thought." That conversation doesn't happen with us.

15 Tips from 25 Years on Queens Roads

Before you call any tow truck — read this. It'll save you real money.

Most people call a tow truck for the first time in years when something bad is already happening. You're stressed, you're in traffic, you're about to make a $200 decision fast. Here are 15 things 25 years of Queens tow work have taught us — stuff that saves money, saves your car, and keeps you safe while you wait.

Tip 01 · Flatbed vs Wheel-Lift

If you drive a Tesla, EV, AWD, or lowered car — insist on a flatbed.

A wheel-lift tow is cheaper, but it drags two wheels on the ground. On an AWD that trashes the drivetrain. On a Tesla it voids warranty — Tesla will fight the claim. Lowered car? The front bumper shreds on the first driveway. Ask "is this a flatbed?" before saying yes to any tow. Extra $40 beats a $5,000 transmission.

Queens flatbed towing →
Tip 02 · Getting Quoted Honestly

Always get the price in writing before the truck leaves.

"We'll figure it out when we get there" is how you end up paying $450 for a $120 tow. A legit company quotes flat over the phone or by text: pickup, drop-off, vehicle — done. If the the person answering dances around the number, hang up. Text us your location and you'll get a flat price back before we move.

Tow truck pricing →
Tip 03 · Dead Battery Triage

Figure out if it's the battery before you pay for a tow.

Interior lights work but the car won't crank? Probably just the battery — a $75 jump gets you home. Rapid clicks when you turn the key? Battery or starter. Nothing at all? Could be the main fuse. Tell us what you hear — we often fix it on scene instead of towing.

Jump start service →
Tip 04 · Flat Tire on the Highway

Do NOT change a tire on the Grand Central or BQE shoulder.

People die every year changing tires on highway shoulders — NHTSA counts 350+ struck-by deaths annually. If your spare's good and you can limp to an exit on the rim, do that. Tires are cheap, you're not. Otherwise: hazards on, stay in the car with seatbelt on until we arrive.

Roadside tire change →
Tip 05 · Lockout Ripoff Warning

Watch out for "gypsy" locksmiths. $75 is the real rate.

Check every door and trunk first — smart keys sometimes auto-lock after a timer. If you have a spare at home, Uber beats most service calls. If you need help now, ask the price on the phone. Legit lockout is $75 flat. Quoted $40 and billed $250? That's the bait-and-switch. Walk away.

Car lockout service →
Tip 06 · Running on Fumes

Don't drive the last 20 miles on empty to save $4.

Your tank collects sediment over the years. Run it dry and the fuel pump sucks that crap through the fuel line into your injectors — $600–$1,200 to replace. If the light's been on 30 miles, pull over. Two gallons delivered is cheaper than anything that's about to happen.

Fuel delivery →
Tip 07 · Accident Scene First Moves

Document everything before the tow truck services your car away.

Photos of every side of the vehicle. License plate of anyone involved. Exact location. Check the curb and the other car too — their damage proves your story. Once the tow is gone, proving what happened gets 10x harder. We handle accident recovery and can bill your insurance directly.

Accident recovery →
Tip 08 · The "Free Tow" Scam

Anyone who shows up unsolicited after a crash isn't free.

Trucks that roll up to accident scenes uninvited ("chasers") usually work with predatory body shops — they take your car to a yard, charge storage by the day, and hold it until you agree to their shop. NYC has laws against this. Call your own tow company. Only sign releases from a company YOU called.

How to handle accident scenes →
Tip 09 · Parking Garage Tows

Not every tow truck fits in every garage.

Queens garages range from 6'8" clearance (most co-ops, LIC buildings) to 7'2" (standard commercial). A full-size flatbed won't fit most of them. Tell us the garage name and the level when you call — we send the low-clearance rig or a dolly setup so you're not stuck waiting for a swap.

Flatbed towing options →
Tip 10 · Won't Shift Out of Park

Don't force the shifter. Use the override first.

Dead battery or broken brake-light switch disables the shift interlock. Every car has a shift-lock override slot near the shifter — usually a small plastic cover you pop with a key. One minute on YouTube for your model. If that doesn't work, we bring a dolly or flatbed so we don't drag it in gear.

Dolly towing →
Tip 11 · Snow and Ice Tows

After a NYC snowstorm, wait for the plow before calling.

We can't flatbed onto an unplowed street — the ramp won't set right and we can't winch safely. If your car's buried, clear around the tires yourself first, or wait for the city plow. Stuck in a snow bank? That's a winching job, not a regular tow. Starts at $150.

Winching and recovery →
Tip 12 · Motorcycle Tows Done Wrong

If they pull out chains, tell them to leave.

Chaining a bike to a flatbed destroys fairings, paint, and handlebar angle. Proper motorcycle towing uses soft tie-downs anchored to the triple tree or frame mounts, plus a front-wheel chock. If the operator doesn't have a chock, your bike is about to fall over in transit.

Motorcycle towing →
Tip 13 · Tesla & EV Mistakes

Never let an EV tech put the car in "transport mode" with a dead 12V.

EVs have a 12V accessory battery separate from the main pack. When it dies, you can't open doors or shift. Tesla's transport mode needs that 12V alive — jump it first, then engage transport mode, then flatbed. Any tow operator who tries to winch an EV with wheels locked is going to cost you a $4,000 drive unit. Proper EV towing is flatbed only.

Tesla & EV towing →
Tip 14 · Long Distance Hidden Fees

On a long-distance tow, ask about the "deadhead" charge.

Some companies charge you for their return trip on top of the outbound miles — that's the deadhead. A $400 tow becomes $800 at the destination. A fair long-distance towing quote is one flat number covering both directions. Ask: "Is that round-trip or one-way?" Get it in writing before they roll.

Long-distance towing →
Tip 15 · Where to Tow It

Your mechanic, not the tow company's "partner shop."

If the tow operator suggests a body shop or mechanic you've never heard of, they're getting a kickback. The industry calls it a "steering fee" — usually $100–$300 the shop pays the tow driver. Your car gets the markup. Always tell us your shop when you call. If you don't have one, we'll be upfront about that and you can pick.
